Japan's haunted love hotel : Hotel Liebhaber, Osaka

大阪のラブホテルリーブハーバーの怖い話を教えるよ。 I love scary stories and urban legends about crazy people and ghosts. There are so many scary stories in Japan, and I am always so happy when I find friends who know a bunch of them and are willing to take me to a bunch of scary places. This building is a love hotel called Hotel Liebhaber in the outskirts of Osaka. It is supposed to be haunted, so I wanted to drive past and take pictures. The story is that years ago, a woman's body was found stabbed in one of the rooms. The story was covered up, so now nobody knows which room she died in.
The woman was killed and her body was hidden inside the hollow space underneath the mattress. The scariest part of the story is that she died during the hour-rental time and wasn't found for two days, so the room was rented out to other couples who probably messed around on the bed her body was hidden under.Scary! The rooms are so cheap now, but I don't think anyone who knows the story would want to stay there.

That's a bit scary! It makes me wonder about places that are cheaply rented out as well - what went on behind the walls. Speaking of urban legends, this particular story became a topic of discussion in my company's staff room recently. Have you heard of 'electric fan death'? It is said that if you sleep in a room with all the doors and windows shut that you can die of suffocation/hypothermia. Maybe that's why fans have timers...

Sounds like Richard Kuklinski, the Ice Man. He killed a partner in crime of his in a motel room with cyanide, then stuffed his body under the bed. The body was found 2 days later, and the room was occupied both nights. The guests complained about the smell, but the staff never checked the room. Anata no buroggu ga suki desu yo.
