Here is a follow-up to the last post I made about
Japanese Gokons (group blind dates). For anyone who is interested in knowing more about dating in Japan, the best site is this
Tokyocherie site. It is written in English by a Japanese girl who lived in NYC and finds the differences between dating in NYC and dating in Tokyo fascinating. It is a really interesting site! If you have any interest at all, it feels like reading the diary of a spy... she's writing in English about something that most non-Japanese people will never experience. It's really interesting.

In other news, I am learning to play Mahjong.

That is a great blog! Thanks for the link!
I really love that you have a habit of sharing good links alongside your own experiences in Japan. :) Thank you very much, I feel like I've learned a lot since I've started reading your blog!!
That is indeed a great blog -- she is like a spy in Japan of things I would never have heard about otherwise.
I was reading their latest post about Konkatsu, it was really interesting. When she said "Hmmm it really shows that women, somehow, still want to win their happiness without hunting for marriage. They want to be pursued by men with passion and romance. But for men, konkatsu is an efficient way to meet the candidates for future wife." I had to relate to that other reply I did on your blog....maybe THATS why Japanese women are getting obsessed with the Korean males these days. I am a Tohoshinki/DBSK/TVXQ follower before they became popular in Japan, and I noticed that many shows they went to asked them about what romantic thing Korean men do, and I hear comments like "korean men are so romantic, Japanese men should learn a ting or two from them" all the time by PDs on shows.
Are Japanese men really lacking in being romantic?
